Remember that eps-format does not support transparency.<\/p>\n<p><em>Third<\/em>, in order to count words in the final pdf-file use\u00a0<code>pdftotext filename.pdf - | tr -d '.' | wc -w<\/code>. This will return the number of words in our file.<\/p>\n<p><em>Finally<\/em>, to generate a pdf-file that is acceptable by manuscriptcentral add <code>\\pdfminorversion 4<\/code> to your <code>LaTeX<\/code>-source.<br \/>\nOtherwise, if you use <code>pdflatex<\/code> to produce your pdf-file, manuscriptcentral will give a notice &#8220;failed to convert to the appropriate pdf&#8221;.
